Die Shania Twain-Story öffnete im November 2002 ein neues, aufregendes Kapitel. "UP!" ist der Titel des langersehnten Follow-ups von "Come On Over", dem erfolgreichsten Solo-Album einer Frau aller Zeiten mit sensationellen 34 Millionen weltweit verkaufter Exemplare. <more> Fast 40 Wochen nach Erscheinen ist "UP" zur Zeit so hoch in den deutschen Albumcharts platziert, wie noch nie zuvor - nämlich auf Platz 2! Platinstatus ist längst erreicht, doch die Erfolgsstory reisst nicht ab. Single-Hit folgt auf Single-Hit – egal ob „Gonna Gettcha Good“, “Ka-Ching“ oder „Forever And For Always” – alle Titel waren zum Teil über Monate in den Top 10 von sowohl Verkaufs- als auch Airplaycharts platziert. Die neue single, „Thank You Baby“, steht gerade frisch in den Läden und scheint den Vorgängern in nichts nachzustehen. Bislang war „UP“ in zwei verschiedenen Formaten (jeweils als Doppel CD) erhältlich, um jedem Fan das zu geben, was sie von Shania hören wollen und erwarten: eine (grüne) CD präsentierte ihre neuen songs im Country Gewand - Shania pur. Die poppige (rote) CD ist durch und durch Pop. Und dann ist da die internationale (blaue) CD, die ein sehr ateinamerikanisches/asiatisches Feeling transportiert, gleichzeitig sehr interessant und kreativ klingt. Nach den fantastischen Erfolgen ihrer drei Pop-Singles entschied man sich, das rote Pop-Album nun auch als Einzel-CD im Handel anzubieten. Diese steht ab Montag, den 18. August, in den Regalen! Konzerte Tour-Infos - 13.08.2003 19:24:00 Hightower
Shania.com hat folgendes geschrieben: "August 8: Shania has confirmed her initial world tour dates will be announced 'soon' (expect by the week of her NBC Special). Shania will perform in North America for the initial fall/winter leg, then go international in early 2004" Februar als Termin für die Deutschlandtour wird von Island/Zeitgeist bestätigt. Einzig die Spielorte und genauen Termine sind noch nicht bekannt. Sobald die Termine feststehen, werden wir euch informieren.

CD-DVD-VIDEO Audio-DVD - 05.08.2003 20:06:00 Hightower
Am 23. September soll das Album "Up!" als Audio-DVD erscheinen. DVD-Audio basiert auf der gleichen Technologie, wie die Video-DVD und kann in jedem DVD-kompatiblem CD-Player und natürlich auf DVD-Playern gespielt werden. Die Audio-Qualität ist durch Kompression und höhere Kapzität erheblich besser und bietet Platz für Video-Clips und Foto-Galerien. "Up!" ist eines von mehreren Alben, die Universal auf diesem Format veröffentlicht. Dazu werden die Original-Aufnahmen remastert und remixt. [Quelle: amerikan. Fanclub]

Charts Up! auf 2 in Deutschland - 01.08.2003 19:19:00 Hightower
Shania's aktuelles Album bekommt im Moment ungeahnten Aufwind und wird in der kommenden Woche Platz 2 der deuschen Charts, noch vor Nena und Robbie Williams einnehmen. So hoch stand noch kein Abum von Shania in Deutschland. [Quelle: VIVA Videotext S. 170]

CD-DVD-VIDEO Info zum Re-release von Up! - 01.08.2003 00:14:00 Hightower
Am 18.8. kommt das Album "Up!" als Neu-Auflage heraus. Ob es nun Re-Mixe oder Dance-Mixe sind, ist nicht bekannt. Allerdings wird es eine SA-CD (Super Audio Compact Disc) sein. Es sind im Prinzip "Audio CD's", die zusätzlich noch 5.1-Sound für Dolby-Digital-Anlagen enthalten, also CD's mit größerer Kapazität. Eines steht fest: es wird wit hoher Wahrscheinlichkeit ein Klang-Bonbon sein!

Shania hat für die diesjährige Ausgabe 8 Nominierungen erhalten. Kategorien: SINGLE OF THE YEAR (FAFA) ALBUM OF THE YEAR (Up!) SOCAN SONG OF THE YEAR (FAFA) CMT VIDEO OF THE YEAR (IGGG) CMT VIDEO OF THE YEAR (FAFA) TOP SELLING ALBUM (Up!) FEMALE ARTIST OF THE YEAR FANS’ CHOICE AWARD Da ist die Chance groß, dass Shania wieder eine ganze Reihe davon abstaubt. Ich hoffe, dass die Spinner, die Shania (aus Neid) in den letzten Jahren immer ausgepiffen haben, dieses Jahr mal ihr Hirn einschalten und nachdenken. Dank an Markus.

Konzerte Review zum Irland-Konzert am 5.7. - 07.07.2003 17:11:00 Hightower
Hier ist ein Bericht vom Irland-Konzert von Shania. Ein Mitglied des nordamerikanischen Fanclub hat ihn im zugehörigen Forum gepostet. Ich übernehme ihn mal komplett.<more><br> <hr> Forgive the typos if I make alot, I only just got in the door from the 180 miles drive home! It's now 5:15am, and we left for the show at 11am!<br><br> The concert was amazing! It as my first time seeing Shania live, I had expected it to be the best concert of my life before it, which could have been hard to live up to cause I have been to more of my fair share of excellent concerts for my age..<br><br> but Shania just blew the rest of them away, her concert was something else entirely.<br><br> For about an hour before the concert I had been going on to my sister about how she did that "Are you ready America?"....*cheers*..."I said, are you ready America?"...*more cheers*....then she comes out and says..."Let's go America!" on the Shania Twain Live video. I'm sure it was starting to annoy her lol, cause I kept on going "Are you ready Ireland?" and repeating the whole thing for our concert, saying I hoped she did that again. Then when 8:30pm came around, and all the band were out on stage, we hear "Are you ready Ireland?", that's probably when I screamed my loudest lol, cause she was doing that again and also cause I couldn't wait to see her.<br><br> Just before 'Don't Be Stupid' started, she called this girl up on stage who she said had sang along with every word of the concert so far, so she sang that song along with her. She was really nice to her, having one of the workers take a polaroid of the two of them and then she signed it and gave it to her.<br><br> In another break in between songs, out of nowhere she picked this bunch of girls out from the front row and said 'Ooh I want to get a picture' so she climbed down off the stage went over, signed autographs for them, and had the guy take another polaroid. All I could hear around me were things like "Awww that's so nice!" and "Oh, that's really brilliant that she does stuff like that for her fans". It was great<br><br> The funniest part of the concert was definitely during 'No One Needs To Know' when she sang her own lyrics wrong lol! She sang the start of one of the verses further into the song, instead of the start of the first one. I was singing along with it and thought I had got the lyrics wrong, and then she started laughing..and trying to sing at the same time . It was really funny. I can't believe she forgot her own lyrics. It was only one line though and she was back on track for the next one.<br> Towards the end, she came out in an Ireland top, which, needless to say, went down VERY well with the crowd.<br><br> When you looked around, everyone in sight looked like they were having the time of their lives, I've never seen that happen as much as it happened last night at a concert before. It was awesome.<br><br> She named what her new single is going to be aswell...in the UK anyway....Thank You Baby! One of my favourite songs on the album, I'm definitely very happy with that. It was the best show of my life. Here's to hoping it won't be long before she's back.

Fanclub intern Logoabstimmung beendet - 04.07.2003 23:23:53 Hightower
Seit heute abend ist die Logoabstimmung beendet. Nahezu 50% der Stimmen sind an Logo Nr. 4 gegangen, das damit das neue Logo des GSTF ist. Das Logo wird noch an diesem Wochenende auf den Webseiten des Fanclubs zu sehen sein.
